KATIE'S FARKLE RULES
Hello, and welcome to katiesfarklerules.com, the preeminent source for super-official rules for the dice game farkle. Sure, you might argue "But Farkle is an old folk game, and variant rules are used in different playing communities!" In which case, I'd agree but stubbornly insist the below rules are best.
BASIC PROGRESSION OF PLAY
-Farkle is played by two or more players, with each player in succession having turns at throwing the dice.
-Players begin each turn throwing six dice at once. After each throw, one or more "scoring dice" must be set aside (scoring section below).
-The player may then either end their turn and bank their accumulated score (see "getting on the board" in below) or continue to throw the remaining dice.
-If the player proceeds to score all six dice, they have "hot dice" and may continue their turn with a new throw of all six dice, adding to the score they have already accumulated. There is no limit to the number of "hot dice" a player may roll in one turn.
-If no dice score in any given throw, the player has "farkled" and all points for that turn are lost.
-At the end of the player's turn, the dice are passed to the next player in clockwise rotation.
GETTING ON THE BOARD
Each player must roll over 1000 points in a single turn before they can begin to keep score, an accomplishment referred to by seasoned players as "getting on the board."

Once "on the board" there is no minimum point total required for banking following turns.
WINNING THE GAME
First player to bank 10,000 points wins.
If feeling extra competitive, play can continue with each other player receiving one final turn to score enough points to surpass the highest posted score. Additional rebuttal rounds ensue each time a high score is surpassed, including only players who continue to pass the high-score.
